This site’s own code does not add advertising trackers, analytics services or tracking cookies. The hosting provider may process routine connection data to deliver and protect the website; its privacy terms depend on the hosting service used.
Your motion and companion preferences
If you change the motion control or choose, show or hide a companion, this website remembers those preferences in your browser. Your device’s reduced-motion setting takes priority. The selected companion follows the cursor on devices with a fine pointer; pointer positions are not stored or sent to PhotoByBrick.
Photography news
The Journal requests publisher headlines through this site’s news endpoint. That endpoint reads fixed PetaPixel and DPReview feeds; it does not send your browsing history or inquiry text to them. Opening a headline takes you to its publisher. Saved headlines are clearly labeled if live refresh is unavailable.
Your photograph selection
The photograph tiles remember their last displayed frame for this browser tab’s session. This helps a reload open on a different photograph. The selection stays in your browser and is not sent to PhotoByBrick.
Preparing an inquiry
The brief helper prepares text in this page. It does not submit a form or save your brief in the site’s storage. Copying a brief places it on your clipboard. Opening an email draft passes your prepared text to the email app you choose. It does not send it; review the draft and choose Send in that app. You can also copy and send it through your own inbox or Instagram.

Opening Instagram takes you to a separate service with its own privacy terms. Information you choose to send there is handled by that service and may be received by Brian.
